About the event
Enjoy 4 days of racing for yachts, cruisers, one design and dinghies in Strangford Lough.
Sail the iconic Bar Buoy Race on 11th July with its legendary barbeque and social event afterwards - won by Mithril last year with over 100 participants across IRC, NHC and dinghy fleets.
You need good knowledge of tidal streams plus Navionics to spot the odd rock.
Free mooring overnight by Castle Ward - famous as Winterfell in Game of Thrones - either on your own anchor or try to arrange a mooring in advance. You can also stay in Portaferry Marina or by Strangford harbour although early booking essential.Â
Followed by 3 regattas on 12th, 13th and 14th - Strangford SC, Portaferry SC and Portaferry Town. Lots of time after racing to relax and enjoy the local scenery. We strongly recommend to book any restaurants in advance. Â
