Can anyone guide us on how much tension (KG load on a rig guage) to tension the shrouds for a Sigma 33? There are a number of guides on rig tensions but all mention mast bend, however I was trying to get some initial target figures on loads as a starting point and then measure the mast bend from there.
Our mast and rigging is Kemp mast with 7mm dyform rigging. The boat is new to us and we are setting her up for racing

Whilst the original Sigma mast and rigging setup guide was written for an earlier generation of sails, such that I'm slightly surprised not to see mentions of baggywrinkles and ratlines, I've found only one more recent guide for rig setup measurements and tensions. I do have a copy of Illustrated Sail & Rig Tuning by Dedham, but am hoping that some class members can share their boat setups here and any comments they have - e.g. you may be primarily set up for light winds, or for pointing. Whilst I understand that these are often boat secrets, I don't think any changes we make will lead to us troubling you on the podium, and it would be really helpful to share them.
