The Event website and Official Notice Board are now live for the Sigma 33 National Championships 2024 to be hosted at Royal Cornwall YC, Falmouth from Thursday 20th until Sunday 23rd June 2024.
The UK Ballad Class (UK Ballad Association) national championships will overlap with the Sigma Class Championship with their racing from Saturday to Monday.
Both classes have been here before.
Twenty-five Sigma came in 2001 and raced in winds up to 40kts. The winner was Irish boat Pepsi (Alan Milton) from Lucent (Ben Richards) and local boat Tresillian (David Jinks).
Tresillian had won in 1997 at Yarmouth and would win again in 2005 at Torquay in the hands of current Falmouth owner, John Beavis.
The Ballads came to St Mawes Sailing Club in 2011, Mylor Yacht Club in 2015, and the Royal Cornwall in 2019.
